LETTER FROM JOHN

LETTER FROM JOHN

I received three wonderful emails today. One was from John. He was concerned about a Nepali girl recently back from Australia. He says that she is insisting on going to the Middle-East. He showed her this article.

John writes from Australia –

Dear Sir,

The timing of your wonderfully informative article is very good for us. I am an Australian who has had a number of Nepalese live with us in Australia. I am currently in Nepal staying with the family of one of the girls. Unfortunately our cruel government sent her back to Nepal and she is desperate to get out. She was planning to go to Dubai very much against my advice. I knew it was bad but not to the extent described in your article. She is a very pretty girl so would be a definite target of these unscrupulous people. I have been able to show the article to her father and now have hope she wont be allowed to go. Your article may have saved her life and certainly saved her from sexual abuse.

Thank you very much,

John

Thousands of Nepalese girls are flooding to the Middle-East for jobs. They melt in front of the domestic financial pressure and ready themselves to get smuggled through India. Only the victim knows what ordeal they have to face? Due to limited communication and insulated Arabic law, hundreds of violence and abuse go unreported.

  1. On one of my flights to Delhi, I saw a pretty young girl; a little coy accompanied by a guy who looked rather conspicuous. The girl was very well dressed and I didn’t have an inkling that she was being smuggled until I saw her signing her name. She could barely write Laxmi. 😦
